Cybertron Brawl by Unicron9 Cybertron Brawl by Unicron9
The color plan for this FoC Bruticus custom set is more G1 than Fall of Cybertron. Not that there are a lot of differences aside from Vortex's colors, but I want to see the set even more recognizable to us old G1 fans, plus he will look better next to Fansproject Bruticus with the G1 colors.
I am still doing wear and the purple glowy lights from the WFC FOC games, but I'm calling these guys Cybertron form versions rather than WFC or FOC.

I've been modding Vortex and Blast off to form better arms too so hopefully most of what sucks about this set will be fixed when I'm done with these.
The set will be on Ebay when I'm all done.

Alright mate, nice to see more repaints for this underrated combiner. I've yet to encounter the retail versions yet hopefully that will change by tonight. Oh man those figures along with Dudicus this will prove to be quite the experience.

I wouldn't call it underrated myself. I honestly think it is a total joke that Hasbro came out with this garbage excuse for a combiner. With a bit more thinking and better/more paint apps, it could have been pretty cool, but still probably not worth $80+.
In fact, if this is what we get for $80 as an official release, things like the Maketoys Giant are pound for pound easily worth every penny of $355 and then some.
I only hope I can fix enough about this set to make it moderately cool. A couple of these robots aren't bad overall.

I thought making the game accurate version a SDCC exclusive was pretty stupid in of itself. I instead opted for the G2 version since it was the cheapest option, though I'm still going to try and grab the retail version. From what feedback I've heard from others whom either hate or love this combiner, I've come to the conclusion that it may in fact be the most fun yet flawed set released so far. I'm gonna try and be optimistic and see if Hasbro learns from this and makes the next combiner much better.

Each figure just feels flimsy, the articulation on a few of them is terrible, and at least 2 look like dumpy idiots in bot mode (Onslaught and Swindle). They combine into a robot with one super long and badly shaped arm, with a small torso because Onslaught is no bigger than the others. With enough fidgiting, the combined form can look better, but still looks thin and silly from any angle other than the front. The fact that the retail release has jacked up colors just makes it worse.
Yeah, I think it totally sucks personally. I am having fun trying to make it better though.

Most of the figures released nowadays end up looking much better with some addition paint apps. As offensive as the retail made be compared to the game accurate version I still want it. Its a nice homage to the Energon version of Bruticus. I'm still deciding if I should add on to what's already on the figures or if I should do a complete overhaul to better resemble his Unicron Trilogy counterpart.
