Constructicon: Bonecrusher by Unicron9 Constructicon: Bonecrusher by Unicron9
Dr. Beverly Bonecrusher...

Lots of details added to make the crusher of bones here more like his G1 self, including fully repainting the legs to mostly green. Getting a close match to the plastic wasn't super easy, but before the weathering it was almost exact.
I for one ain't buyin the idea of light green treads though without them having lots of metal wear and dirt on them, so his legs are dirtier than the rest of his body.

Hope yall dig it!
I am working on re-doing some of Longhaul so new pics of him will replace the original set soon.

Personally, I was disappointed with both TFC and MaakeToys' Bonecrushers. They were both the least accurate of the sets.

Yeah but the TFC Mixmaster is nothing at all like the original character. I think the Maketoys changes were mostly improvements.

I will say that TFC Mixmaster does feel more warrior than scientist. I just get turned off a bit more by their Bonecrushers. Neither one has his sig. chest. IMO, Hercules is better for people who prefer the more modern Universe look (i.e. Generations Perceptor to G1 Perceptor), whereas Giant is for people who want an even more-G1 Devastator

Agreed, but it really comes down to the individual characters. For instance, Maketoys Hook, Scavenger, and Mixmaster are nearly spot on (but updated) to the G1 look, while the others are all much more classics/universe in appearance. I also think the size of the Hercules set is just too big to work with classics, especially considering the size of the classics seeker jets. Then again, with that in mind alone, classics have plenty of scale issues, especially in alt modes.

Eh, I like them both, though I admit to liking Hercules a bit more. Alas, I don't have money for either, so I just have my little G1 Devvie. What would be an awesome idea is if one of them took their Hook analogy, retooled it so the crane could swing down and the cab could turn into a giant hammer or club, and repainted it into Hauler as maybe an exclusive for TFcon or something, because I love Hauler, and this way he could pull a Piranacon and be a sort of Targetmaster.

BTW, do you have TFC Photron? And are you going to get Uranos?

Nah I have the other 3rd party Reflector already and love that set. Superion is my favorite combiner but if the set is much bigger than my Maketoys Devastator and FP Bruticus, or cots anywhere near $600, then I won't be getting the TFC ones.

I like what I've seen of PE's Reflector, though if I ever get one it'll be TFC, because scale trumps accessories and I'm a sucker for LED.

I will, just because I love Superion. Air Raid's cool, though Fireflight is...a little disappointing, which I attribute to the fact that he's more toy-accurate than show-accurate. Also, insert the obligatory 5th grade level Uranus joke here. :P

Yeah it is real cool and I'm big on scale too. I don't mind them being just a bit bigger than the soundwave minions though.

Bonecrusher hates Hasbro for not having a figure of him as cool as this one. Bonecrusher hates everything!
